Carletta Schultz Obituary

Carletta ‘Carlie’ Schultz, age 80, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024. Carlie was born May 10, 1943, in California to the late Carl and BeEtta Hankins (Boyd). She moved to Missouri in 1979 and to Michigan in 2017.

Carlie was a Navy wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her husband was Tomas Schultz who was married to her for 57 years before he passed away in 2018. She had 4 children: Sherry Day and her husband Phillip, Tomas Fredrick II (deceased), Tomas Carl, Delois Wilson and her husband Eugene. Her grandchildren included TJ (Liz) Day, Christopher (Jamie Ward) Day, Justin Day (deceased), Kyndra Day, Leeza Wood, Eugene Marcel Wilson II, Montana (Zoie Sherrow) Wood, and Savannah Schultz. She was a great-grandmother to Jackie, Josie, Leela, Jace, Everly, and one coming in July.

She also has 2 surviving siblings, Mary Santos-Kincannon and Cindy Kincannon Hatch, who she loved dearly.

Carlie loved her time working with Herschend Family Entertainment and all the friends she made there. Carlie loved all her friends at Turtle Creek and missed them when she moved to Michigan. Even with missing her friends made elsewhere, she also greatly enjoyed her time in Michigan. She loved spending time with her family along with sewing, crocheting, reading, and quilting.

It is never easy when a loved one passes. It becomes harder still when they have given so much love to everyone. While none of us were ready for her passing, at least she is no longer in pain, and she is now with her husband, father, grandson, and many others that have passed before her. We will see her again in time.
