Julia Eckert Obituary

Julia A. Eckert, age 81, of Cass City, passed away, at McLaren Bay Region, Bay City, on Wed., Jan. 24, 2018.

She was born July 2, 1936, in Romeo, the daughter of the late David and Julia (Bentley) Spencer. Julia enjoyed knitting,

crocheting, crafting and cooking, but most of all taking care of and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Julia is

survived by her children, Elizabeth (Randy) Finley of Cass City, Joseph Carlson of Akron, Laurie Carlson and Julie (Chris)

Beaver, both of WI, John Carlson and Douglas Eckert, both of Cass City, and Angela Howe of IA, 16 grandchildren and 9

great, grandchildren, siblings, Joann (the late Robert) LeFave of Rochester Hills, David (Mary) Spencer of MN and Margaret

Ross of Madison Heights. She was predeceased by her children, Michael Carlson, Mary Carlson, James Carlson and Linda

Carlson, brothers, Howard Cochrane, Larry Spencer and infant Jerry Spencer, her children's fathers, Emil Carlson, Douglas

Eckert and special friend, Harry Steele. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at

Mizpah Missionary Church, 4631 Van Dyke Rd., Cass City at 11 AM. Family and friends may start gathering at 10 AM.
