Obituary

Mr. Alan Michael LaPeer, age 70, of Cass City, passed away Sun., March 20, 2022 at his home.

He was born Feb. 21, 1952, in Cass City, son of the late Wellington and Effie (Greenleaf) LaPeer. On Sept. 10, 1977, he married Connie Howard in Cass City. Al owned and operated Al’s Bump Shop in Cass City for over 39 years. His family thought he was the best coffee maker and he had a really good sense of humor. He enjoyed working on his classic cars and riding his Harley with Connie and enjoyed bonfires and loved his “grandbabies”, dogs, Chloe and Kelsey.

Al is survived by his loving wife of over 44 years, Connie, daughters, Amanda LaPeer of Akron and Ashley (Timothy) Spencer of HI, sisters, Patricia (Gary) Guilds and Dianne (Walter) Hempton, both of Cass City and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers and a sister, Walter LaPeer, Dorothy Putnam, John LaPeer, Richard LaPeer, Fred LaPeer and Robert LaPeer.

Honoring Al’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial luncheon is being held at 12 Noon, Sat., April 23, 2022 at Cass City VFW Post 3644, 4533 Veterans Dr., Cass City.
