Bertha Cook Obituary

Mrs. Bertha Alexia "Lexie" Cook, age 86, of Cass City, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008 at United Hospice Residence, Marlette.

Lexie was born August 7, 1921 in Caro, the daughter of the late Richard and Mabel (McBurney) Bayley. She married George Cook on June 1, 1946 in Cass City, he passed away August 31, 1987. She worked for Walbro for 17 yrs. and then at Eicher's Cleaners for 25 yrs., Lexie enjoyed baking, gardening, quilting and was active at her church, was a member of Kendron Chapter #33 O.E.S.

Lexie is survived by her daughter, Rose Cook of Cass City and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, John and a sister, Lucy.

Visiting for Lexie is Monday, February 11, 2008 from 10:30 AM until a 1:00 PM service at First Presbyterian Church, 6505 Church St., Cass City. Pastor David Blackburn will officiate. Burial will be in Elkland Twp. Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Window Fund.
