Bill James Watson, age 83, of Cass City, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at his residence.
Bill was born October 18, 1926 in Cass City, he was the son of the late Vern J. and Eva E. (Huffman) Watson. He attended Wickware and Cass City Schools, and worked at Detroit Terminal Railroad Co. retiring after 28 years and also worked hauling milk for the Nestle plant in Cass City for 2 years. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and feeding the birds and his dogs. He also served in the U.S. Army during WW II.
Bill is survived by his brother Chuck (Carol) Watson of Traverse City, sister, Nancy (Norm) Naren of Sterling Heights and Charlotte Sangster of Decker, a sister-in-law, Glenda (Gale) Courts of Cass City and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Lynch and a brother, Robert Watson, both of Cass City.
Visiting is Monday, May 17, 2010 from 6 until 8 PM and on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 9 until an 11 AM service at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City. Pastor J. T. Mabe will officiate. Burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Honor service by members of Caro VFW Post and the U. S. Army
