Mrs. Billie Iris Baker Mack, age 90, of Ubly, passed away unexpectedly,
Fri., July 21, 2017 at her home.
Billie was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Richmond, VA the daughter of the late
James Wilford and Ida May (Hensley) Baker. Billie married John W. Mack
on April 21, 1943 in Hyattsville, MD. He passed away Feb. 19, 1996 after
53 years of marriage. She worked for 27 years for Utica Community Schools, retiring as Food Service Director and was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, first in Hazel Park, which has now merged with Royal Oak Chapter #392.
Billie is survived by her children: John (Sharon) Mack of TX, Wanda Sue James of Ubly, Carol (Larry) Bronson of Waterford and Vickie (Paul) Tabor
of Sterling heights, a brother, Guy Baker of Fl, grandchildren, Laura (Matt) James, John (Emily) Mack, Gary Mack, Jeff James, Joe (Michelle) Tabor, Stacy Shepherd, Jenny (Todd) Bannerman, Jessica (Eric) Land, Samuel
Mack, Abraham Mack, David (Neera) Yanus and Brian (Penelope) Yanus, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband John, she was predeceased by a son, Joseph Mack, a grandson, Joseph and 2 sisters, Lois Baker and Christine Smith.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held, Saturday,
Aug. 19, 2017, at 1 PM at Cass City United Methodist Church, 5100 Cemetery Rd., Cass City. Pastor Jackie Roe officiating. Family and friends may start gathering at 12 Noon.
