Blanche Louise Meyerhoven Roth

Blanche Louise Meyerhoven Roth, age 76, of Pigeon, MI, formerly of Royal Oak, MI, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe, MI. She was born September 25, 1938 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit to William C. and Florence E. (Berg) Meyerhoven.

Blanche was a graduate of Royal Oak High School and worked as a Legal Secretary for many years. She was a member of the Royal Oak Woman's Club, the Royal Oak Historical Society, the Clawson Troy Elks #2169, the Red Hat Society, Legal Secretary Association and the Author of the very popular Royal Oak Daily Tribune Feature Food and Restaurant Review column "Lightly Blanched".
Blanche lived by the motto "Live Well, Laugh Often and Love Much", she had many friends that she treated like family. She loved to travel, host parties, cook, bake, discuss recipes and had a special fondness for Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Detroit Tigers!

She is survived by special friends, in laws and colleagues. She also leaves behind many close personal friends in Royal Oak, Ontario, Canada and Titusville, FL., and at the Rose Garden, Pigeon, MI and the Huron County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Roth was predeceased by her husband, Sheldon in 1998 and her parents; Florence and William and Uncle Milton "Jack" Berg.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service officiated by the Rev. Renee Machiniak of the Royal Oak Church of the Holy City, will be held at the Royal Oak Woman's Club, Royal Oak, at 11 AM on Thursday, September 17, 2015, friends may gather at 10 AM. Private burial will follow at the White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy.
