Mr. Carl J. Labish, age 95, of Decker, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City following a long illness.
Carl was born November 4, 1918 in Detroit, the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Szczechowicz) Labish. On June 12, 1948 he married Grace Moskwa in Detroit. He worked as a PBX Installer and Repairman for Michigan Bell Telephone for 35 years, was a member of the Cass City - Gagetown Knights of Columbus and the Michigan Bell Pioneers and loved baseball.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Grace, children, Christine Mott of Royal Oak, Carl (Karen) Labish of Warren, Mary Labish of Westland and John (Jamie Bachmann) Labish of Macomb. 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons. He was predeceased by his brother, Valentine Labich.
Honoring Carl's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
