Christopher Hoppe Obituary
Mr. Christopher Edward Hoppe, age 56, of Cass City,
passed away suddenly due to a logging accident while
working, Thurs., June 5, 2014 in Evergreen Township.
He was born Aug. 17, 1957 in Cass City, the son of
the late Edward and Eileen (Hass) Hoppe. On Dec. 3,
1976 he married Ruth Davis in Sandusky. He worked as
a heavy equipment operator in construction, enjoyed
the outdoors, riding his tractor. He enjoyed life,
was a gentle giant, that was there when he was needed.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Ruth,
his son, Edward (Amy) Hoppe of Cass City, grandchildren,
Hunter and Autumn, a brother, Stanley (Cheryl) Hoppe of
Watrousville, and 2 sisters, Sharon (Ron) Rockwell of
Snover and Dr. Susan (Dr. Charles Reed) Hoppe of Cass
City. Honoring Chris's wishes, cremation has taken place
and a memorial gathering will be held on June 28, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the family residence.
