Mr. Clarence Spencer, age 93, of Caro, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Tendercare of Cass City. He was born November 9, 1911 in Selkirk, MI, the son of the late Frank and Alverda (Tightsworth) Spencer. He worked as a laborer in a foundry and loved to play the violin and restored a Model A.
Clarence is survived by his children, Clarence, Jr. of Cass City, Richard (Phoebe) of Caro, Stanley (Ernestine) of Vassar and Mary (Gerald) Gabler of Decker, siblings, Allan (Donna) of Kingston, Frank (Ruth) of Gilford, Earl of Saginaw, Iva Thayer of Caro, Donnalee Volker of Saginaw and Joyce (Richard) Young of Munger, 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence on June 25, 1967, by a son, Gordon and by two grandchildren.
Visiting is Thursday, July 28, from 2 until 9 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main Street, Cass City, MI and on Friday, July 29 from 10 until an 11 AM service at Novesta Church of Christ, 2896 North Cemetery Road, Cass City with Chuck Emmert officiating. Burial is in Novesta Township Cemetery, Novesta Township.
