Mr. Clayton Richard Karr, age 87, of Cass City, passed away Sun., Jan. 26, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born May 15, 1937, in Brookfield Township, the son of the late Erwin and Anna (Nicholas) Karr. Clayton married Helen Sutton on Jan. 14, 1961 in Cass City. She passed away Nov. 26, 2002. He worked for Marlette Homes and then for Yale Rubber in Sandusky, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boats, golfing, bowling and time with family, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Clayton is survived by his children, Diane (Lorn) McIntosh of Decker, Rhonda (Marc) Halifax of Ubly and Debra (Jose) Licea of Oakland Township and step-son, Brian (Deanna) Thompson of Milford, 12 grandchildren and many great, grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews, especially, Bob White. He was predeceased by a son, Dennis Karr, siblings, Robert (the late Marlene) Karr, James (the late Shirley) Karr, Mae (the late Bud) White and Geraldine (Howard) Kelly.
Honoring Clayton’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be Sun., Feb. 2, 2025 with a reading of Clayton’s obituary and a time to share stories at 2 PM at Evergreen Township Hall, 5514 Shabbona Rd., corner of Decker and Shabbona Roads, Decker. Family and friends may start gathering at 1:30.
