Mrs. Cora Mae Remsing, age 74, of Cass City, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at St. Mary's of Michigan, Saginaw.
Cora was born October 20, 1934 in Brookhaven, MS daughter of the late May Noah and Bessie (Foster) Ballard. She worked as a Nurse's Aide at Provincial House, Cass City, at Hamill Manufacturing and at Walmart, both in Bad Axe, she sold Avon Products, was a member of Faith Gospel Tabernacle serving as hospitality leader and in the choir and enjoyed reading and time with family and friends, especially, Grace and Chris.
Cora is survived by her husband of 48 years, George, children, Sherrie (James) McIntyre of Seattle, WA, Lena Remsing of Cass City, Martha Remsing of Tulsa, OK, Margaret Remsing of Ruth, Arthur (Patricia) Remsing of Shabbona and Ida Remsing of Seattle, WA, 16 grandchildren and a great grandchild, siblings, James Owen (Jack) of Cleveland, TX, John Thomas of Alabaster, AL, Bobby Ray of Brookhaven, MS, Billy Joe of Alabaster, AL, Robert Lee of Alvarado, TX and Sandra Jean of Brookhaven, MS. She was predeceased by children, Paul King, Jr., Bruce King and Jane King and a brother, Alfred.
Burial has taken place at Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorial service 1 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Faith Gospel Tabernacle, 3108 Rescue Rd., Bad Axe, Pastor Michael Beeler officiating.
