Daniel J. McClorey

Mr. Daniel J. McClorey, age 54, of Cass City, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at his residence.

Daniel was born February 2, 1954 in Cass City the son of the late Richard "Rip" and Margaret (Peddie) McClorey. On June 11, 1976 he married Mary Martin at St. Pancratius Church in Cass City. He worked for over 30 years as a bus driver for Cass City Schools and also worked for 30 years as a projectionist at the Cass City theater. Daniel enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandson, Tyler.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Mary, daughters, Kristy (Leland Asher) McClorey and Wendy McClorey, both of Cass City, grandson, Tyler, siblings, Kenneth McClorey of Caro, Alan (LouAnn) McClorey, Brian (Deborah) McClorey, Robert (Debra) McClorey, Brenda McClorey, all of Cass City, Paul McClorey of Vassar, Tammy (Jon) Apley of Gagetown and Walter (Laura) McClorey of Sandusky, mother-in-law, Lorraine Martin of Cass City, he was a brother-in-law of, Michael (Carol) Martin of Georgia, Sharon (Jeff) Bruno of Shepherd, MI and Karen (Bill) Yanna of Lansing and also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Honoring Daniel's wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City, from 6 until 9 PM and on Monday, January 26, 2009 from 10 AM until an 11 AM Memorial Mass at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, 4292 Seeger, Cass City with Rev. Fr. Steve Fillion as celebrant. Memorial donations may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
