Dean Rabideau Obituary

Mr. Dean Douglas Rabideau, age 76, of Cass City, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008 at United Hospice Residence - Marlette.

Dean was born May 17, 1932 in Sebewaing, the son of the late George and Della (Menzel) Rabideau. On November 7, 1953 he married Myrtle Sowden. He worked at General Cable in the Maintenance Department for over 38 years until his retirement in June of 1996. Dean enjoyed fishing bowling, racing cars, working in his garage, playing cards and drinking beer with his friends and family.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of almost 55 years, Myrtle, son, Dallas (Lynn) Rabideau of Cass City, brothers, Wayne "Buck" Rabideau and Robert (Vivian) Rabideau, both of Cass City, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Dale, Lee, Elden and Patrick and two half sisters, Velma Helwig and Marcella Seeley.

Visiting is at the Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City, Saturday, August 9, 2008 from 6 until 9 PM and Sunday, August 10, 2008 from 2 until 5 and 7 until 9 PM and on Monday, August 11, 2008 from 12 noon until a 1 PM service. Pastor Claude Thayer officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
