Delbert Vargo Obituary
Mr. Delbert Vargo, age 61, of Pigeon, passed away, Sun., Oct 16, 2022 at United Hospice Residence of Marlette .
He was born July 29, 1961, in Cass City, son of the late Reginald and Shirley (Papkey) Vargo. Debert graduated in 1980 from Owendale-Gagetown High School and served in the U S Army. He was a member of the Sebewaing American Legion Post. He worked as a self- employed roofer and also worked at the sugar plant in Sebewaing, also as a groundskeeper at Sherwood on the Hill and most recently at the McDonald’s in Sebewaing.
Delbert is survived by his daughter, Kayla (Zach) Forrest of Caseville, grandchildren, Nicholas and Temperance, siblings, Tina Spencer of Cass City, John (Lynda) Vargo of Bad Axe and Deborah (Lionel) Superville of Washington State and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Reginald (Peg) Vargo and Geroge (Pam) Vargo and a nephew, Kyle Spencer.
Honoring Delbert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life gathering and luncheon will be Sat., Nov. 12, 2022 at Sherwood on the Hill, 6625 3rd St., Gagetown, from 1 until 3 PM. Honor service at 1 PM by members of the Sebewaing American Legion Post and U S Army.
