Mrs. Doris Karr, age 84, of Cass City, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Satchell's Christian Retirement Home, Caro.
She was born May 26, 1927 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Everett and Anna (Howey) Darling. On August 18, 1951 she married Edwin Karr in Marlette. Edwin passed away October 5, 2000. Doris lived a dairy farming life but also worked at Walbro for many years. She was a member of Cass City Missionary Church. Doris enjoyed sewing, cake decorating and in her later years; painting. Doris enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Dawn) Karr and Leslie Karr, both of Cass City and Paula Karr of Saginaw, grandchildren, Kayla, Kristie and Scott Karr and Eric Hollis, great granddaughter, Alyvia Mae Hollis, sisters, Marie (the late Roy) Stickle of Cassopolis and Dorothy (the late Steve) Tesho of Bridgeport. She was predeceased by a brother, Joe Darling.
Visitation is Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:00pm - Service to begin at 3:00 pm at Cass City Missionary Church, 4449 Koepfgen Rd., Cass City. Officiated by Pastor Phil Burkett. Private burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery.
