Doris "Juanita" Warack 79, a lifelong resident of Gagetown passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, June 15, 2012.
She was born October 16, 1932, the daughter of the late William & Bessie Woods. She was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Warack and 8 brothers and sisters.
Juanita was a member of the Gagetown United Methodist Church. For 25 years worked as a cook at Hills & Dales General Hospital in Cass City. Juanita enjoyed word search puzzle books, bird watching, her flower gardens, her special companion; her cat Sophie, cooking for others, and spending time with her children and their families.
Juanita , loving mother of her 3 daughters, Deborah (Terry) Kosto; Judy (Maurice) Winchester and Barbara Vollmar; 4 sons; William (Janet) Warack; James Warack and Cheryl Warack; Jeffrey Warack; and Daniel (Julie) Warack; 1 brother Jerry (Judy) Woods; 4 sister-in-laws Ilene Woods-McBride; Diane Warack; Evelyn Warack and Marion (Warack) Halasz. 2 brother in-laws Bob McKay and John Warack; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Juanita was known as "Niter" to many extended family members and friends. She is also survived by her special niece and friend, Joan Merchant.
Juanita was a member of the Gagetown United Methodist Women's Club and the local Birthday Club.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11 AM at the Gagetown United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jackie Roe officiating. Visitation is Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 3 until 9 PM at the church and Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 10 AM until the 11 AM service. Memorials may be offered to the Gagetown United Methodist Church, 4750 South St. Gagetown, MI 48735 or Pet Friendz.
