Mr. Edward F. Wruble, age 81, of Ubly, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at United Hospice Residence, Marlette after a long battle with cancer.
Edward was born November 3, 1927 in Austin Township, son of the late Frank and Laura (Jock) Wruble. He married Evelyn Woodchisky on June 3, 1952 in Albuquerque, NM. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a lifelong farmer in Austin Township. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, and tinkering and repairing machinery.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Evelyn, sons, William Wruble of Burton and David Wruble of Ubly, his nephew, Tom (Connie) Wruble of Grosse Pointe and niece, Laurie Rubenstein of Auburn Hills, sister-in-law, Agnes (Lyle) O'Harris of Davison, brother-in-laws, John (Jeanette) Woodchisky and Donald Woodchisky, both of Ubly. He was predeceased by his brothers, William, George and Bernie.
Visiting Monday, December 8, from 2 until 8 PM with a scripture service at 7 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City and Tuesday, December 9, from 10 until a 11 AM Funeral Mass at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 1826 Cumber Rd, Ubly, with Fr. Joe Griffin as celebrant. Burial will be in the spring in St. Joseph/ St. Ignatius Cemetery, Austin Twp. Honor service by members of the U.S. Army and Cass City VFW post 3644. Memorials may be made according to the wishes of the donor.
