Elmer Parrish, Jr.

Mr. Elmer Parrish,Jr., age 80, of Gagetown, passed away, on Thurs., Sept. 28, 2023 at  United Hospice Service of Marlette.

Elmer was born Feb. 18, 1943 in Cass City, the son of the late Elmer and Beatrice (Hess) Parrish, Sr. On Nov. 28, 1970 he married Jill Stilson in Cass City. Elmer served in the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He owned Elmer’s Autobody Shop, together with Jill they had Sugartown Market in Sebewaing and he drove truck for Wesley Milk Company. He enjoyed NASCAR and when he was younger he raced and built cars, camping, he loved time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Elmer is survived by his loving wife of over 52 years, Jill, children, Jamie (Laura) Parrish of FL and Kristie (Russell) Speirs of Cass City, grandchildren, Zoe, Kellie, Katherine and William, brothers, David Parrish and Daily (Linda) Parrish, both of Cass City and Harry Parrish of Sanford.

A memorial service will be held Wed., Oct. 4, 2023 at 11 AM at Novesta Church of Christ. Brad Speirs officiating. Family and friends may start gathering at 10:30 AM.

Memorials in honor of Elmer may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
