Mrs. Evelyn M. Catron, age 84, of Cass City, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012, at her home.
She was born June 4, 1927 in Flint, the daughter of the late Rolen and Irene (Yeaster) Thwing. Evelyn married William R. Catron in 1968. He passed away in March of 1998. She retired in 1991 after working as an underwriter for Traveler's Insurance. She enjoyed reading and needlework and loved time with her family and friends.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Nathaniel (Kathryn) Merritt of Utah, Jacque (Michael) Zawilinski of Cass City and Jill (George) MacKellar of Grand Rapids, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and ex-husband, Raymond D. Merritt of Davison.
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10 AM until an 11 AM service at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City. Scott Mills officiating. Honoring Evelyn's wishes cremation has taken place and burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Memorials may be made to Revive Ministries, Cass City.
