Frank Benitez Obituary
Mr. Frank Benitez, age 86, of Gagetown, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at Tendercare Cass City. He was born April 2, 1926 in Bolton, KS, the son of the late Manuel and Ysadra (Sanchez) Benitez.
He attended St. Agatha School until eighth grade, then to Gagetown High School until ninth grade when he left to work for his parents on their farm. He then worked in Owendale for Automotive Industries for 9 years, while also having bought the farm at 21, and worked it for 10 years, then he leased it out. He then went to work at Sebewaing Industries for 24 years. He was also involved in Boy Scouts and Big Brothers.
Frank is survived by a sister, Anita (the late Leo) Chesher of CO and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 7 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation is Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 2 until 8 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City and on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 4618 South St., Gagetown from 10 until an 11 AM Mass with Fr. Craig Carolan as celebrant.
Burial will be in the spring in St. Agatha Cemetery, Gagetown.
