Garry Cox Obituary
Mr. Garry B. Cox, age 73, of Deford, formerly of Lake Orion, passed away Wed., May 29, 2013 at Tendercare Cass City.
Garry was born April 13, 1940 in Piggett, AR, the son of the late Luther and Jessie (Pratt) Cox. In Dec. 1981 he married the former Belinda Barnett in Waterford. He worked as a Fireman for the Pontiac Fire Department from 1964 until 1987, retiring after 23 years. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening and cutting wood, and very much enjoyed time with his family.
Garry is survived by his wife, Belinda, children, Wendy (Deni) Shepherd of NC, Brock Cox of South Lyon, Michael (Lisa) Hodges of Oxford and Michael Cox of NC, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a brother, Richard (Jean) Cox of Lake Orion, a sister, Dana (Charles) Payne of IL and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Sydney Cox.
Honoring Garry's wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
