Mr. George F. Gallaway, age 87, of Cass City, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2005 at Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City.
He was born March 6, 1918 in Koylton Township, MI, the son of the late Floyd and Myrtle (Vance) Gallaway. George was a WW II U. S. Army veteran, he farmed for many years, and worked as a Union Carpenter for 40 years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Cass City United Methodist Church.
George is survived by his wife, Lucille, son, Brent (Katie) Gallaway of Mecosta, MI, grandchildren, Brett (Michelle) Gallaway of Dallas, TX and Heidi Leal of Denton, TX, great-grandchildren, Austin, Baylee and Alexis. He was predeceased by a brother, Vern.
Visiting is Monday, August 15, 2005 from 2 until 5 and 7 until 9 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main Street, Cass City, MI and on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 from 10 until an 11 AM service at Cass City United Methodist Church, 5100 North Cemetery Road, Cass City with Pastor George Ward officiating. Burial is in Elkland Township Cemetery, Elkland Township. Military honors by members of the United States Army.
