Mr. Glen "Sonny" Churchill, Jr., age 76, of Cass City, passed away
Saturday, March 4, 2017, at his home.
He was born November 11, 1940 in Cass City, the son of the late
Elliott Glen and Jennie Marie (Crawford) Churchill. On March 17,
1962 he married Nancy Connolly in Caro. Sonny retired in 1996,
after 32 years with General Motors (Pontiac Motors) . He enjoyed
hunting, fishing, farming, NASCAR, raising his cattle and taking care
of his lawn, but most of all time with his family, especially his
grandchildren.
Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy, children, John
(Lisa) Churchill of Decker, Barb (John) Doerr of Cass City and special son, David (Stephanie) Hutchinson of Cass City, grandchildren, Samantha, Eric, Nichol, Nathan, Darren, Amanda, Tyler (Brook) and Andrea, great grandchildren, Jayce, Quintin, Jerzee, Peyton, Carter and Bralyn and sisters, Marion Hunter of Mayville, Margaret Springstead of Bad Axe, Amy (Bill) Ford of Cass City, Bonnie (Ronald) Miller of Elkton and Sue Osbourn of Shelby Township. He was predeceased by a grandson, Cory Hill and sisters, Virginia Anthes, Wattie Mallory, Marie Brown, Dodie Babcock, Helen Mellendorf and Phyllis Churchill and brothers, John Churchill and Clarence "Skip" Churchill.
Honoring Sonny's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of
his life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Compassus Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
