Glennola Root Obituary

Mrs. Glennola B. Root, age 94, of Cass City, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Carey’s Young at Heart AFC Home, Caro.

She was born June 14, 1930, daughter of the late Glenn and Leola (Bingham) TerBush. On June 28, 1947 she married Richard L. Root in Cass City. He passed away July 9, 2013. Glennola worked for Gamble’s Hardware, then for Pinney State Bank, then for Chemical Bank and enjoyed bowling and canning things from her garden.

She is survived by her son, Mike (the late Phyllis) Root of Cass City, grandchildren, Steve, Kari, Jenna, Jay and Alisa and a sister, Virjean King of Caro. In addition to her husband and parents, she was proceeded in death by her daughter, Louann (the late Jay) Herman and siblings, Wilma Hartwick, Dorothea Sawdon and Darold TerBush.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at First Presbyterian Church, 6505 Church St., Cass City on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 4 PM. Dale Bullock officiating. Family and friends may start gathering at 3 PM. Burial will be in the spring in Elkland Township Cemetery.
