Harold W. Deering

Mr. Harold W. Deering, age 87, of Cass City, passed away at

Medilodge of Cass City, Mon., Jan. 15, 2018 after a long

illness. He was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Oliver Twp., the son of

the late Jacob and Catherine (Frank) Deering. Harold was self-

employed as a butcher owning Deering Packing and was a

farmer. He enjoyed crafting, woodworking and building

small sheds. Harold is survived by his children, Bonnie

Watson of Decker, Lee (Glenda) Deering and Dave (Kris)

Deering, both of Deford, Sharon Deering of Bay City and

Cathy (Tom) Chard of Decker, several grandchildren, several

great grandchildren and a great, great grandchild, siblings,

Millard (Bea) Deering of Bad Axe, Richard (Joyce) Deering

of Sandusky, Frances Spaeth of FL, sister in laws, Janet

Deering of Bay Port and Doris Deering of Grant Twp. He

was predeceaed by a son, Rod (the late Lisa) Deering, siblings,

Edward, Jacob, Donald, Ralph and Gerald Deering, Ada

Hutchinson and Esther Schweitzer. Harold will lie instate

Thurs., Jan. 18, 2018 from 9 AM until an 11 AM service at

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 6820 Main St., Cass City.
