Mrs. Helene C. King, age 83, of Deford, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at her residence.
Helen was born January 10, 1926 in Marlette, the daughter of the late Albert and Grace (Meiser) Creguer. She graduated in Cass City in 1943. On December 13, 1947 she married William King, he passed away October 25, 2007. She moved to the Deford area and farmed there for 51 years. Helene worked in Cass City both as a telephone operator and at Frieburger's grocery, she also worked for Big Brothers & Big Sisters second chance store in Caro.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Virginia (Robert) Walker of Caro and Janice (Floyd) Holland of Bedford, IN, 4 sons, Mike (Milly) King of Chipley, FL, Alan (Kathy) King and Gary King, both of Deford, and Paul (Carla) King of Caro, 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and special friends Mary and Louis Gyomory. She was predeceased by a son, Bruce King, 2 grandsons, Aaron and Alan Bacon, and a brother, Harold Creguer.
Honoring Mrs. King's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11 AM at the Moose Lodge - Caro. Memorials may be made to United Hospice, Marlette.
