Mrs. Irene J. Mioduszewski, age 88, of Cass City,
formerly of Clinton Township, passed away, Thurs.,
Oct. 2, 2014 at Courtney Manor, Bad Axe.
Irene was born June 1, 1926 in Hamtramck, the daughter
of the late Frank and Julia (Dziedzic) Mackowski. She
married Louis Mioduszewski in Roseville on March 1, 1953.
She worked as a clerk/typist for Wayne County, was a member
of the Hills and Dales Auxiliary and the Cass City VFW
6344 Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered at the Rawson
Memorial Library for many years, and enjoyed doing
needle work, cooking, painting, clogging and loved her
family.
Irene is survived by her loving husband of 61
years, Louis, children, Louis (Margaret) Mioduszewski of
Washington Township, Karen Leal of Cass City, Michael
(Betty) Mioduszewski of Dexter and James (Joan) Mioduszewski
of Sterling Heights. 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren,
and two sisters, Jane (the late Walter) Ochalek of Madison Heights
and Marie Daniel of Toledo, OH. She was predeceased by a sister,
Ann Flores.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at 9:30 AM, with a 10 AM Funeral Mass Sat., Oct. 11, 2014 at SS. John and Paul Catholic Church, 7777 28 Mile Rd., Washington Township. Rev. Fr. David Buersmeyer, celebrant. Burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City.
Memorials may be made to the Capuchin Friars, St. Bonaventure Monastery, Detroit.
