Irene O. Picklo

Irene O. Picklo, age 96, passed away following a brief illness, Friday, June 18, 2021.

She was born July 9, 1924, in Detroit to the late Glenn H. and Catherine E. (Pflaum) Temple. She married Harry H. Picklo on July 27, 1940 and was happily married for 69 years. Harry passed away, March 26, 2009.  

Irene is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Edward) LaBelle of Cass City, 4 grandchildren, Jeffery (Debbie) LaBelle of Fort Wayne, IN, Katie (Jeffrey) Gendron of Grand Rapids, Brian (Becky) Picklo of Mustang, OK and Angela Picklo of Traverse City, along with 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Michael H. Picklo and a daughter, Peggy Jeanne Picklo. Irene was a creative and talented woman and worked as a floral designer and bridal seamstress. She loved cooking, sewing and spending time with her family. She was a blessing to all who knew her. Her life motto was, “Keep the faith and follow God’s path”.

Honoring Irene’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be given in memory of Irene, to the charity of the donor’s choice or to the Healing Garden at Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City.
