James Connolly Obituary
Mr. James F. Connolly, age 74, of Deford, passed away Sat., Nov. 24, 2012, at his home.
He was born Aug. 30, 1938 in Detroit, the son of the late Alfred and Della (MacArthur) Connolly. On Aug. 24, 1957 he married Violet Pratt in Bad Axe. He worked for a time for Whittaker Sawmill, before opening his own, Connolly Saw Mill. He enjoyed duck hunting and building race cars, and most of all loved time with his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Violet, children, Wayne Dean (Donna) Connolly of Deford, brother, John Connolly of Cass City, sisters, Nancy (Sonny) Churchill of Cass City and Ann McFann of North Carolina, grandchildren, Deana, Erica and Wayne Joseph Connolly and Great Grandchildren, Justin, Coltin and Liam Colbert. He was predeceased by two sons, Wesley Connolly and Walter Connolly. Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Tues., Nov. 27, 2012 at Novesta Church of Christ, 2896 Cemetery Rd., Cass City. Brad Speirs officiating. Burial will be in Novesta Township Cemetery.
