Mr. James Darwin Curtis, age 75, of Cass City, passed away
Wed., Oct. 19, 2016, at his home.
He was born Sept. 15, 1941 in Cass City, the son of the late Dart
and Leona (Martin) Curtis. On June 12, 1965 he married Charlene
Gibbard in Deford. He was a member of the American Legion in Caro,
served in the U S Army during both the Cuban Missile Crisis and the
Vietnam War. Jim retired in 2009 after working for General Motors and
also worked for Howard's Heating. He was a Diamond Life member of
NWTF and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and most of all time with his grand kids.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Charlene, children, Lee
Curtis of FL, Larry Curtis of Kalamazoo and Ursula Tkacz of Akron, 5 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Allison, Xander, Kaydence and MacMac, a sister,
Judy Rabideau of West Branch and a brother, Joe Curtis of Mio. He was predeceased by a brother, Dave Curtis, a sister, Linda Remsing and an
infant sister, Janet.
Visitation is Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 from 10 AM until a 1 PM service at
Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City. Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Honoring Jim's wishes, cremation will follow. Memorials may be made to NWTF.
