James Gray, Sr. Obituary
Mr. James D. Gray, Sr., age 68, of Bad Axe, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at Huron Medical Center, Bad Axe.
Jim was born December 31, 1942 in Pontiac, the son of the late Floyd and Myrtle (Wilson) Gray. On August 6, 1962 he married Carol Sue Lee in Pontiac. She passed away June 10, 2007. Jim like word search puzzles, and loved time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Carol (Keith) Fisher of AR, Marie (Paul) Slater of Deford, James Gray, Jr. of Cass City, Kim (Dave) Dutcher of Sebewaing, Terrie (Fred) Powell of Cass City, David Gray of KY, Jackie (Shawn) Arntz of Harbor Beach and Margie (Zane Snear) Rolston of Bad Axe, 28 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, siblings, Deloris Richardson of Cass City, Charles (Tolondia) Gray of Caro, Karen (Willis) Wirick of Rochester, Ron (Joan) Gray of Caro, Deb (Clarence) Baker of Caro, Pat (Andy) Mauraski of Owendale, Mike Gray of Cass City and Doug (Meg) Gray of Gagetown. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandy Shoup-Gray, grandchildren, Allison and Michael and brothers, Jack and Harvey Gray.
Visiting will be Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 6 until 9 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City and on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 11 AM until a 1 PM service at Ellington Church of the Nazarene, 2545 Lazelle, Caro.. Pastor Ron Comfort officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Indianfields Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Gray will be Paul, Jr., Brad, Matt, Steven, Tyler and Justin.
Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
