Mr. James (Pete) Harley Hack, age 74, a life long resident of Caro, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at his residence.
Pete was born February 6, 1934 in Caro, the son of the late Vern and Lenore (Emery) Hack. Pete served in the US Army in Korea. On March 14, 1959 he married Shirley Kill in Caro. He worked for Apache Trailers (Vesley's Trailers) in Lapeer, did TV repair, worked doing autobody repair with his brother, and enjoyed traveling and time with his family especially his grandchildren, playing marble games.
Pete is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Shirley, children, Ginger (Kenneth) Wonnacott of Caro and Alan Hack of Roscommon, grandchildren, James, Andrew, Dustin, Dylon, Tommy and Troy, sisters, Marie (Gary) Hazen of Midland, Jane (Sonny) Babcock, Maxine Krabbe and Ruthann (Jim) Babcock, all of Caro. He was predeceased by an infant son, James Dean and brothers, Donald, William and Paul.
Visiting is Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 8:30 until 11:30 AM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City with the funeral service at 11:30 AM. Chaplain Wendy Orzo of Home and Hospice Advantage officiating. Honoring Pete's wishes cremation will follow and then burial will be in Indianfields Cemetery, Caro. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
