Joseph Schmidt Obituary

Mr. Joseph P. Schmidt, age 77, of Cass City, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at his home with his family at his side.

He was born January 25, 1936 in Port Huron, the son of the late Peter and Helen (Zmysloney) Schmidt. On June 23, 1961 he married Margaret Ellen McCarthy in Caro. Joe was a life long tree trimmer and worked for DTE (Detroit Edison), he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Honoring Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Joe is survived by his wife Margaret Ellen, daughter, Karen Kaye Schmidt of Rochester, nephew, Tom (Amy) Schmidt and great niece, Avery, of Cass City, and niece, Michelle Schmyick and great niece, Caitlin, of Macomb Township. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Schmidt.
