Joseph Szarapski Obituary
Mr. Joseph W. Szarapski, age 55, of Cass City, passed away suddenly, Tues., Sept. 15, 2020 at Hills and Dales General Hospital.
He was born Sept. 18, 1964 to the late Richard and Norma (Guinther) Szarapski. Joe married Marilyn Abfalter, Feb. 8, 1997 in Cass City. Marilyn passed away Jan. 29, 2005. He worked for Schneeberger’s, Erla’s and LaFave Steel and was a member of Knights of Columbus #8892. Joe enjoyed working on his Jeeps and pickups, hunting and had a great love for his dogs.
He is survived by his mother, Norma Szarapski of Cass City, 3 brothers, Richard Szarapski, Jr. of Cass City, Brent (Liisa) Szarapski of Traverse City and Paul Szarapski of Marlette, 2 nephews, John and Nathan and a niece, Maija. He was predeceased by his father and infant sisters, Kathryn and Karen.
Visitation will take place in Novesta Township Cemetery, Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 10 AM until an 11 AM service. Fr. Theo Nnabugo will officiate. Burial will immediately follow the service.
