From the moment Josh entered this world, his parents knew life would never be dull. Strong-willed, determined, and endlessly curious, he approached every day with an energy that couldn’t be contained.
By the age of eight, Josh had already proven himself an entrepreneur, proudly running Josh’s Live Bait and Tackle — his first business venture and an early glimpse of his drive and creativity. A 1994 graduate of North Huron Schools, Josh spent four years playing the alto saxophone in the high school band, filling the halls with music and laughter.
Over the years, Josh explored many business ventures, often alongside his beloved sister, Rachelle, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond and countless memories. He was a true outdoorsman — a four-season sports enthusiast who lived for fishing trips, hunting days, and any adventure that took him into the wild.
Josh’s curiosity extended to all of life’s mysteries — and if you happened to believe in Sasquatch even a little, you were guaranteed an hours-long conversation full of humor, theories, and that trademark sparkle in his eye. His love for animals, especially his cats, reflected his big heart and gentle spirit.
A passionate thrill-seeker, Josh lived life in the fast lane — never halfway, always full throttle. His energy, laughter, and fearless love of life will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
Josh made his home in Cass City, Michigan, where he built friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. He was preceded in death by his father, Rick; his uncle, Larry; and his aunts, Peg and Bonnie. He is survived by his loving mother, Ruth; his devoted sister, Rachelle; and his cherished daughters, Alexys and Rylee.
Josh was taken from us far too soon on October 18, 2025, at the age of 49. His absence leaves an ache that words can’t fill — but his laughter, strength, and zest for life will live on in every story shared, every adventure remembered, and every heart he touched.
A celebration of Josh’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 30, 2025, at Novesta Church of Christ, 2896 Cemetery Rd., Cass City, MI 48726.
He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
