Joyce Parks Obituary
Joyce Marie Parks, age 82, of Cass City, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo.
She was born April 14, 1939, in Almont, to the late Theodore and Mary (Kristen) Lester. She was a great cook, everyone loved her cooking. She enjoyed garage sales, bookstores, knitting, reading mystery novels and flower gardening. She loved people and they loved her.
She is survived by partner, Richard Emmons, children, Stephen (Lori) Parks of LA, John Parks and Sherry Parks, both of Gagetown, Michael (Cheyann) Parks of Cass City, Scott Parks and Robert Emmons, both of Gagetown, 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, two brothers, David (Marge) Lester of Grand Blanc and Rich Lester of Caro and a sister, Barbara Smith of Bay City. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Lester and two sisters, Virginia Lester and Cheryl Lester.
Visitation will be Monday, November 22, 2021 from 5 until 8 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City and Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 10:30 until an 11 AM funeral service at Gagetown Church of the Nazarene, 6609 Lincoln St., Gagetown. Pastor Linda Harrington officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Township Cemetery – Gagetown.
