Joyce Nora Sheldon

Mrs. Joyce Nora Sheldon, age 85, of Gagetown, passed away, Mon., Jan. 20, 2025 at her home.

She was born July 28, 1939 in Owendale, daughter of the late Leslie and Mary (Hughes) Proudfoot. Joyce married Theodore Sheldon on December 5, 1964 in Davison. She worked as a bank teller in Flint and Cass City. Quilting was Joyce’s passion, and she loved creating and gifting quilts, wall hangings and table runners for family and friends. She also loved cookie baking and arranged plates of many varieties to give at Christmas time. Joyce loved spending time with her granddaughters and attended many of their events through the years.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Ted, sons, Wayne (Jill) Sheldon of Belmont and Marshall (DeLilah) Sheldon of Gagetown, grandchildren, Emma, Emily and Erica (Justin Sievert) and a sister, R. Jean (the late David) Hedrick of FL. She was predeceased by a brother, Gary (the late Cathryn) Proudfoot and a sister, Joan Ricker.

Visitation will be Thurs., Jan. 23, 2025 from 2 until 6 PM and on Fri., Jan. 24, 2025 from noon until 1 PM, the time of service, at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City. Pastor Janine Plum will officiate. Burial will be in Grant Township Cemetery.
