Mr. Leland C. "Lee" Hartwick, age 87, of Cass City, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Huron County Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe.
Lee was born November 17, 1919 in Cass City, the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Jackson) Hartwick. On November 23, 1950 he married Wilma TerBush in Elkton. Lee attended Cass City High School, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII, and worked as a pipefitter for Ideal Plumbing and then for Petro Chemical Plant (Dow Chemical), retiring in 1981.
Lee is survived by his wife, Wilma, children, Susan (Alyne) Howard of Marshall, Sharla Conforti of Memphis and Allyn Hartwick of Cass City, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brothers, Robert of Zephyrhills, FL, Leslie and Charles, both of Cass City, sister-in-laws, Carole Hartwick, Kathleen Hartwick, both of Cass City, Pat Hartwick of Zephyrhills and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Instate Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 10 AM until 11 AM service Novesta Church of Christ, 2896 N. Cemetery, Cass City with Chuck Emmert officiating. Visiting Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from 2 until 9 PM at Thabet Funeral Home. Burial will in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Novesta Church of Christ.
