Mr. Leslie W. Hartwick, age 90, of Cass City, passed away Thurs., Nov. 24, 2011, at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro.
He was born July 26, 1921 in Novesta Township, the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Jackson)) Hartwick. He married Carole Fisher on March 16, 1968 in Fraser Presbyterian Church. Leslie served in the U. S. Army during WWII, he was a journeyman plumber, and a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, gardening and traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife Carole, children, Ricky (Melanie) Hartwick of Cass City, Noreen (Edward) Keating of Bay City, Dawn Brock of Big Rapids and Jeffery (Nicole) Hartwick of Saginaw, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, brothers, Charles (Kathleen) Hartwick and Robert (Pat) Hartwick. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Arlan Hartwick, Lawrence Hartwick, Leland Hartwick, Paul Hartwick, Gerald Hartwick, Erma Mellendorf and Elaine Crane.
Visiting will be Sun., Nov. 27, 2011 from 2 until 5 and 7 until 9 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City and Mon., Nov. 28, 2011 from 10 until an 11 AM service at First Baptist Church, 6420 Houghton St., Cass City. Pastor David Hill officiating.
Burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Rawson Memorial Library.
