Lloyd Newsome Obituary
Mr. Lloyd J. Newsome, age 73, of Cass City, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at United Hospice Residence of Marlette.
He was born April 2, 1940 in Redman, the son of the late Roy and Cora (Cornish) Newsome. On April 23, 1960 he married Tonya Walker in Kingston, they were married for 50 years. She passed away June 14, 2010. He was a hobby farmer, enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and making bird houses, but most of all loved time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Lloyd is survived by his children, Lloyd Newsome, II, Bunny (Dennis) Porter and Toni (John) Plain, all of Cass City, 4 grandchildren, Melinda Newsome, Lloyd Newsome, III, Dennis Porter II and Genevieve Turner, great grandchildren, Alyssa Webster and Cora Porter, and a sister, Viola Duby of Twining. He was predeceased by a son, William Newsome, siblings, Ray Newsome, Frank Newsome, Violet Armstead, Iola Newsome and Ed Newsome.
Visitation is Monday, April 22, 2013 from 4 until 9 PM and Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 1 until a 2 PM service at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City. Pastor Dale Bullock officiating. Burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
