Lola Nicholas Obituary
Mrs. Lola M. Nicholas, age 91, of Cass City, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at Huron County Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe.
Lola was born June 28, 1919 to the late Newell and Rhoda (Summers) Ingalsbe in Grant Township. On August 28, 1937 she married Earl Nicholas in Flint. He passed away July 30, 1959. She lived on the farm where she was born and raised for 61 years, before moving to Cass City in 1980. Lola enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Donna (the late George) Ferguson of Marlette, Roland Nicholas of Cass City, Lloyd (Paula) Nicholas of Sebewaing, Joyce (James) Turner of Cass City and Jean (John) Heck of Sebewaing, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Nicholas, a brother, William Ingalsbe and a great grand daughter, Krystal Lynn Tracy.
Visiting will be Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 4 until 9 PM and on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 10 until an 11 AM service at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City. Rev. Bill Wright officiating. Burial will be in Grant Township Cemetery.
