Mr. Louis F. Mioduszewski, age 89, of Cass City, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at his residence.
He was born in Detroit, on October 31, 1925, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Gmyrek) Mioduszewski. He married Irene Mackowski on March 1, 1953 in Roseville. She passed away October 2, 2014. Louis was a police officer for the Detroit Police Department and retired from there as a Detective Sargent, he also retired from the State Attorney general's office where he was an investigator. He served in the U. S. Air Corps during WW II, then the U. S. Air Force reserve. He was a member of the Cass City VFW Post 3644 and enjoyed building and fixing things.
He is survived by his children, Louis (Margaret) Mioduszewski of Washington Township, Karen Leal of Cass City, Michael (Betty) Mioduszewski of Dexter and James (Joan) Mioduszewski of Sterling Heights, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Edward Edwards, and sisters, Lillian Kudzborski, Rose Bratty, Jennie Kochis and Josephine Filips.
Honoring Louis's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church, 4292 Seeger St., Cass City, with Rev. Fr. Christian Tabares as celebrant. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Honor service by members of the U.S. Air Force and Cass City VFW Post 3644.
