Margaret Chisholm Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Ann Chisholm, age 96, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Northwood Meadows in Cass City.
She was born December 16, 1927, in Bad Axe, daughter of the late Albert and Nettie (Paison) Mayhew. Margaret graduated from Bad Axe High School. On October 14, 1950, she married Donald Chisholm of Gagetown. They were married in Bad Axe and Donald was a career airman in the US Air Force, so Margaret traveled the world as Donald was posted at various Air Force bases. Donald and Margaret moved to Northwood Condos upon their retirement in the early 1990s. Following Donald’s passing on November 15, 2011, Margaret moved into Northwood Meadows. She was described by everyone who knew her as a woman with class, good natured and always with a smile.
Margaret is survived by her son, Rex Chisholm and his wife, Kathleen Green of Chicago, IL. She was the last survivor of four siblings, having been predeceased by two sisters, Doris Tianen and Virginia Draper and a brother, Frank Mayhew.
Honoring Margaret’s wishes cremation has taken place and burial was in Colfax Cemetery, Bad Axe. A Memorial Service is being planned for some time in the late spring.
Memorials may be given to the Campaign for Northwood Meadows at Hills and Dales Healthcare.
