Margaret Sergeant Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Sergeant, age 86, of Gagetown, passed away, Tues., March 22, 2022 at her home.
She was born May 9, 1935, in Detroit, to the late Herman and Marie (Mohm) Mack. Margaret married Marshall “Bill” Sergeant in 1957. He passed away Jan. 13, 2007. She worked as an elementary school teacher for 32 years at Greenwod and Princeton Elementary Schools in St. Clair Shores. Margaret was very active for 27 years with the Friends of the Thumb Octagon Barn and enjoyed flower gardening and her animals.
Margaret is survived by her adopted daughter, Ena Reintjes of Gagetown, a sister, Mary Ellen Schley of Novi. A niece Lori (Rich) Corl of CO, Lori’s kids, Andrew and Robbie and several other nieces and nephews.
Honoring Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Sat. June 18, 2022 at 11 AM at the Thumb Octagon Barn, 6948 Richie Rd., Gagetown. Family and friends may start gathering at 10 AM.
Memorials may be given to the Friends of the Thumb Octagon Barn.
