Mrs. Marian Louise Hendrie, age 78, of Mesa, AZ, passed away Sun., March 17, 2013, at home.
She was born July 7, 1934 in Centerline, the daughter of the late Lee and Marie (Trudeau) Sefton. She married Ronald Hendrie in 1972 in Alaska. He passed away 2002. Marian was a 1952 graduate of Cass City High School. She moved to Alaska in 1957. Her and Ronald lived in Alaska for 33 years, working for the State of Alaska Department of Transportation, before retiring to Mesa. Marian enjoyed family, crossword puzzles, was an avid golfer and loved to travel.
Marian is survived by her sisters, Lois Sugden of Cass City and Catherine (Ron) Hogue of Fostoria, a brother, Hugh (Margaret) Sefton of Snover, sisters-in-law, Helen Sefton of Kingston and Vivian Sefton of Decker. Step-children, Greg of AK, Ronda of KS and Kim of MO, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gwen and Mike Cleary of Mesa, brother-in-law Jim Hendrie of WA. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joe and Leroy Sefton, an infant sister, Rosemary Sefton, sister-in-law, Juanita Sefton, a brother-in-law, Richard Sugden and step-sons, Ronald, Jr. and Jimmy.
Memorial visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2013 from 10 AM until an 11 AM Mass at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, 4292 Seeger St., Cass City, with Father Paul Bala and Sister Maria Dina Paddu officiating. Burial will be in Frieberger Cemetery.
