Mrs. Marilyn J. Morgan, age 88, of Cass City, passed away, Sat.,
May 7, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Covenant Healthcare - Harrison, Saginaw.
She was born Nov. 13, 1928 in Evergreen Township, daughter of the late Ralph and
Alma (Hodgins) Loney. She married Ted Morgan on April 22, 1950 in Cass City. He passed away Feb. 26, 2005 after 55 years of marriage. She was a member of the Cass City United Methodist Church. Marilyn attended Cosmetology School and worked at the B-Lov-Lee Beauty shop in Cass City, She went on to be a secretary and teacher's aide at Evergreen and Deford Schools for 27 years. Marilyn and Ted farmed for years and raised Belgian Horses. She enjoyed upholstering antique cars that her husband had restored, restoring old furniture, sewing, loved to bake and make delicious candy.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Ellen Kay Krebs of Cass City, son, James Philip Morgan of Texas, grand daughters, Delyann Morgan, Susan (Marion) Lee, Carolyn O'Hara and Kristen (Steve) Noaker, great grandchildren, Morgan, Lillian, Ellen, Zoey, Hunter and Karson. Sister-in-laws, Nancy Vernon and Linda Morgan, both of Marlette and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Phillip Scott Morgan, brothers, Jack and Keith Loney, sister, Maxine Loney, brother-in-laws, James Vernon and Thomas Morgan, cousin and friend Ted Marshall ad several nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Mon., May 8, from 2 PM until 8 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City and Tues., May 9, at Cass City United Methodist Church, 5100 Cemetery Rd., from 10 AM until an 11 AM service. Pastor Jackie Roe and Pastor David Hill officiating. Burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriner's Children's Hospital.
