Mrs. Mary Ann Cooper, age 78, of Cass City, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Courtney Manor, Bad Axe.
She was born April 9, 1935 in Roseville, the daughter of the late Elmer and Marie (Boyne) Fortune. In 1962 she married Linton Cooper in Kingston, he passed away in May 2011. She worked as a cook for many years at Crossroads Restaurant. She enjoyed craft work, such as knitting and crocheting, and summers at the campground in Evart, MI.
Mary is survived by her brother, Jim Fortune of Marlette, a cousin, Bill Boyne, many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and special friends, Nancy Thane and her family.
Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will take place 2 PM, Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013 at Cass City Missionary Church, 4449 Koepfgen Rd. Visiting will begin at 1 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
