Merrill Froney Obituary
Mr. Merrill William Froney, age 81, of Gagetown, formerly a resident of D. J. Jacobetti Verteran’s home, Marquette, passed away, Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at home. He was born June 10, 1932 in Ispeming, the son of the late Merrill and Henrietta (Moyle) Froney. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating and served in the U. S. Navy and Army, spanning from the end of WWII, through the Korean War and the beginning of the Vietnam War. Bill is survived by his special friend, Toni Donovan of Gagetown, 9 children, 17 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, 3 sisters, Florence, Etta Jo and Patsy, and special cousin, Faye Holmi of Gwinn. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael James Froney. Honoring Bill’s wishes cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
