Mr. Millard C. Ball, age 86, of Gladwin, MI, formerly of Cass City, MI, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Midland, MI.
Millard was born March 5, 1920 in Ellington Township, MI, the son of the late William and Vinora (Highlen) Ball. On June 1, 1946 he married Betty Rockwell in Evergreen Township, MI. Millard served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII from 1941 - 1945, he was a Hobby Farmer, worked for Walbro, Wesley's Milk Co. as an inspector and bookkeeper, and also had owned the Standard Gas Station, all in Cass City.
Millard is survived by his wife, Betty, daughters, Diane (the late James) Kern and Marsha (Duane) Moore, both of Bay City, MI, grandchildren, Bonnie, Russ, Tracy and Terri, great grandchildren, Riley and Grant, siblings, Ralph (Winnifred) Ball of WA and Dorothy (the late Elwyn) Baerwolf of Sandusky, MI. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald (Joann) Ferguson.
Funeral service Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 2 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main Street, Cass City with Chuck Emmert officiating. Visiting Friday, January 19, 2007 from 3 until 9 PM and on Saturday from 1 until 2 PM. Burial is in Novesta Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
